Step 1
Getting started
You share your tenant details with us once. We handle the full setup - no dashboard to configure, nothing to install.
Share your tenant details
Tell us each tenant's name, email, phone (optional), property address, monthly rent, and their due day. One email or form is all it takes.
Choose the consent path
Already have the tenant's consent? Confirm it and reminders activate immediately. Otherwise, Ping emails the tenant a secure consent link and activates reminders after they agree.
Reminders run forever
Every month, Ping automatically sends the right reminders at the right time. You don't touch a thing unless you want to.
What you need for each tenant
Step 2
Reminder schedule
Ping sends reminders automatically each month based on each tenant's due date. Once paid, reminders stop for that month.
An early heads-up so tenants can arrange payment in advance.
A clear reminder that rent is coming up. The most-read reminder in the sequence.
"Your rent is due today." Sent on the morning of the due date.
A soft overdue notice. Friendly in tone but clear that payment is late.
A firmer follow-up. Shows the outstanding amount and asks for immediate payment.
An urgent final notice. Directs the tenant to contact their landlord immediately.

RENT REMINDER
Your rent is due in 7 days
Hi Alex Morgan,
A friendly heads-up that your rent of $1,500.00 for 123 Main Street, Apt 4B is due in 7 days.

Sent via Ping on behalf of Jordan Lee
Example data only. Names, address, rent amount, currency, and landlord are personalized for each tenancy.
Step 3
Two ways to confirm tenant consent
Consent must be established before automated reminders begin. You can confirm consent you already obtained, or ask Ping to collect it directly from the tenant.
Ask Ping to collect it
The tenant gets an email explaining who their landlord is, what property the reminders concern, and which reminder channels they are agreeing to.
Tell the tenant to expect the email and accept the secure consent link promptly, so their first reminders are not delayed.
Confirm consent you already have
Select this option only when the tenant has expressly agreed to receive recurring reminders through Ping. Reminders activate without sending a consent request.
- Your attestation and timestamp are recorded
- You remain responsible for retaining evidence of consent
A lease clause, addendum, email, or other written record can help document the tenant's agreement.
Reminders start after the landlord confirms existing consent or the tenant agrees through Ping.
If you use Ping's consent flow and the tenant doesn't respond, you can resend the email from your dashboard.
Tenants can withdraw consent at any time by emailing support@ping.rent.
Ongoing
Marking rent as paid
When a tenant pays, mark it in two clicks. All remaining reminders for that month stop immediately.
From your email
When the first reminder of the month is sent, you receive a summary email listing all tenants reminded that day. Each has a one-click "Mark paid" button - no login required.
From your dashboard
Log in to your dashboard at any time and click "Mark paid" on any tenant's row. If a tenant has multiple overdue months, you can select which ones to mark individually.
